Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) has become one of the most requested flooring types in Dubai — soft underfoot, realistic wood and stone finishes, and far more affordable than natural materials. But not all LVT is equal, and not all suppliers install it the same way. Here's what to check before you buy.

1. Wear Layer Thickness

The wear layer determines how long your floor resists scratches and daily wear. For busy homes and offices in Dubai, look for a wear layer of at least 0.3mm–0.5mm — thinner layers wear through faster under heavy foot traffic.

2. Click System vs Gluedown

LVT comes in click-lock and gluedown (dryback) formats. Gluedown LVT, like our HOME-(30) range, bonds directly to the subfloor for a firmer, more stable finish — better suited to Dubai's warm climate where floating click floors can shift with heat.

3. Warranty Coverage

Ask exactly what's covered: wear layer warranty, structural warranty, and whether commercial use is included if you're fitting an office or retail unit.

4. Showroom & Sample Access

Photos online rarely match real-world lighting. A supplier with a physical showroom lets you see and feel the actual plank — grain texture, sheen level, and true color — before committing.

5. Installation Team Experience

LVT is forgiving material, but subfloor prep still matters. Ask whether the installation team is in-house or subcontracted, and whether they handle self-leveling and moisture testing before laying.
